What’s exe version and git version? What’s Python version and non-Python version?

LT is written in the programming language Python. You can’t run Python by default on most operating systems unless you go through the trouble of installing and configuring it. The engine developers have made available a Windows exe program that you can double click to use without needing to worry about any kind of installation process. This is also referred to in some places as the non-Python version. The downside of the exe version is that it is updated generally only a few times a year and is not possible to modify. For these reasons, some users opt for the version that is hosted on Gitlab , also called the git version since you use git to download and manage the source files. This version has access to the newest features immediately and lets you add features to the engine code yourself. The git version is also called the Python version since you will need to install Python and configure it yourself to run it. Also see this doc page for setting up with the Python version on Windows.
